The FiberNest Story
Many species of birds of prey are endangered and protected by the Endangered Species Act of 1973. Under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act and Bald & Golden Eagle Protection Acts, utility companies can be found in violation and prosecuted, should federally protected birds be electrocuted.
It is our goal at FiberNest to help to protect the birds by offering alternative nesting solutions. This provides a practical solution to utility companies and allows us to observe the grace and beauty of these majestic creatures.
In addition to utility poles, FiberNest dishes are proudly perched above numerous baseball fields, theme parks, golf courses, and at bird protection centers.
We Are A Proven Solution
Most birds of prey seek the safety of higher ground for nesting. Building nests on the tops of trees, utility poles, buildings and other man made structures is instinct and part of their natural habitat.
And, these nests need to remain protected. Birds of prey may come in contact with power lines, which can be fatal. And, this results in costly power outages. Possible nesting materials may fall from the power poles, which can be dangerous to humans causing both personal and property damage. The nests can also be a safety hazard for utility workers trying to perform routine maintenance or during an emergency.
